Japanese Illustration Study
Growing up watching Japanese animation and reading manga has been a big influence in my career path. Many of the stories and moments of the shows I watch impressed me.
This study is about those moments, what they inspired in me and also to trying to understand how they were made.
Some of these illustrations are redraws of animations frames, others are fragments of pictures or even original recreations of moments in those stories. This is fanart.
A no-line style was developed inspired in the anime and manga artbooks, investigating color and character design as I was working.
